I believe its called the piston bearing or flywheel assembly. It where the two pistons come together in the case. Where they rotate beside each other. Well, mine don't rotate or move, They are stuck in a 45 deg angle. The bearing took a dump and now they are one. |

you should check the oil pump and make sure its ok, I have a suspicion that the oil pump may have failed causing your "piston bearings" to "freeze". At least pull it and check the drive gears. "Never let a motor die without knowing why" (Carroll Shelby). |

Could have been something clogging the oil passages in the crank...... Please don't slam me if there aren't any in a V-twin crank. I'm only speaking from experience with a 550hp Chevy 358ci welding a rod to the crank at 90mph in our IMCA Mod. Amazing how a tiny piece of dirt can turn an engine into scrap iron and aluminum gravel. BTW...that is a GREAT looking bike! Bring it back to life! |

Hey Will, Really sorry to hear that your motor grenaded. SH*t happens. I hope you don't think that a little snag like that is any excuse for not showing up for MB IV in your pink hat!! It might not seem like it now, but leaving your old ride behind might not be a bad thing after all. I never would have found Lil Blackie if I didn't realize that it was time to say good bye to Ol' Yaller. Life moves on. We must follow. A door closes. A door opens. Savy ? |

Sgthigg... I think he had about 15K on it. Just a little more than I had when mine grenaded. |

Hope no one gets at me for asking but if no one buys it as a whole- are you at all thinking about parting it out? |

If you part it out I would like your black body plastic. I would like to dump my yellow setup also. Good luck with everything. |

I have a few takers for the whole thing. If that doesn't work out then I will let you know. |
