On my new quest for bar ends, I just discovered these. The long spike version is some serious stuff! I'd hate to have a wreck with those! http://www.candydarling.com/custommetal/barends.ht m ~SM |

Those are great if you don't intend on crashing and impaling yourself. Imagine one of those catching pavement and turning your slide into a barrel roll. They do look cool though. |

After catching the end of the right bar in the sternum on my last laydown, no thanks. Unless they make those in nerf. |

I was expecting to see knives sticking out of the handle bars |

I knew a kid wiped out a car on a dirtbike. Handlebar end went through his chest...He didn't have spikes. I guess this'd make a cleaner entry point. |

Yeah, the handlebar-through-the-chest thing is exactly why I'd never want these. maybe I should mount some tennis balls instead? ~SM |

The longer one's look great for lane splitting. |

i have a nice scar on my leg where my dirt bike clutch lever (with the ball on the end long broken off) stuck into my leg when i wrecked it. looking at the hole it left was enough for me to not want anything sharp on any bike i ride ever again. |
