My 2006 Ss fan croaked at around 3000 miles, so it's quite possible it died. Not an uncommon problem.

My Fan bearing went at 20k miles and it took a fuse with it and threw out a check engine light. Replaced the fuse, the fan and away I went.

is there any light indicating high temperature or fan broken?

A faulty ECU on mine caused the exact opposite: the fan wouldn't stop anymore, even with the key removed (no check engine light came)!
Don't know if a failed ECU could cause your problem, but could be worth checking before you go and buy a new fan.

Could be a failed temperature sensor too.

Cheers,

try and give the fan blade a push with your key to see if it is even trying to turn.

Check your fuses and then try to pull a trouble code.

okay just found out an interesting thing....noticed that the fan is working...but its much much slower than usual so i cant hear that loud noise it used to make...so i tought it was not working.. but it's really weird it never did it.
may be a coinscidence but 2 days before i used militec (http://www.militec.com/) at my bike..one of the things it promises is to low the motor temperature. i have some theories.. please say if i'm saying shit.
some electronic device ...controls the fan rpm....it may be crazy , or the temperature sensor is also crazy or militec is really a good product and the internal temperature is low and the fan is running slower cause of it..what u think?
