So, they sectioned that wheel? It looks centered, so, they welded(heliarc) in two sections? Cool, how much dud that cost? Or is that your center in a new rim(lack of a better term)??? And do they straighten wheels also? If they could put a center in a wheel/rim, it would be cool to use a front rim to graft on the ZTL brake for the rear, that would look sick... |

That looks nice. Would love to do that to mine but I should probably focus on getting the bodywork finished first. |

they put the stock center inside two new outer rims i dont know if they straighten wheels, but it would cost more than buying a new wheel the front rim would not work in the rear the ztl is for 17 inch, this wheel is a 18x8.5 |

do you have to do a chain conversion to fit that? And could you get us a regular old customer price? |

the ones i have are built centered with no offset and require chain conversion and no swingarm mods the other ones available in europe are offset and can use a belt and require swingarm mods thanks for the complements, its a work in progress, i am still working on a few things |

Ron the one's in Europe only need a swingarm mod's because Jen's put a 9 inch wheel on the Hell Bender and if you go to 8 1/2 INCH wheel that takes the swingarm mod away so it doesn't have to be done. |

Sorry for being slow...but when you mention the "one's in Europe" are you referring to the folks at Hillbilly Motors: http://www.taylormade-wheels.co.uk/proddetail.php? prod=TMW-buell240 I like it, but boy that's an expensive wheel! |

Delk yes I'm referring to Hillbilly Motors. Jen's the owner and I have spoken and also conversed several times about the setup. I on the other hand wanted to keep the 190 that I have on the bike to keep its handling capabilities as much as possible after further thought. I do think the 240 looks really cool but its just not for me. Ron's bike looks awesome and doing the chain has eliminated the reason for the offset. I once thought about having done and then just switching back and forth but you know as well as I do in time it would just turn into a pain in the rump. |

everyone in europe told me that you had to have a offset, even the wheel builder himself but i did my own measurements and told deget to build me a wheel without a offset, he did and my plan worked with a 8.5 and a chain you do not need a offset wheel in my opinion, means better handling due to front and rear wheel alignment and even parts of rear wheel to lean over when turning i have never rode anyone elses, so this is just my theory |

Yes with a belt you do need to still offset but you do not need to cut into the swingarm for it to work with 8 or 8 1/2. |

I finally found a use for the pics a friend from Germany sent me of a 330 mm rear tired XB from Fighterama 2006.
Fortunately the original pics I got were larger so we can see it is definitely a 330.

Hey 1313, that tire is hilarious! Tell ya what, though, I really dig that bodywork! Is that a totally custom job, or can we buy that somewhere? Pretty slick! ~SM |

Ron, Swords- I ain't holding anything back... All I know is what the pics show and they were from Fighterama 2006. The guy who sent me the pics is not very responsive to E-mail's, although his English is getting better, so I can't count on finding out more info. 1313 |

I think I might not have been clear in my question above... when I asked if we could purchase "it" somewhere, I was talking about the bodywork. I'm not interested in fat tires. Anyhow, seeing as the bike was from Fighterama, it's probably custom bodywork anyway. Too bad! BTW, went to the official Fighterama website hoping for more pics, but to no avail. Their gallery kinda sucks. ~SM |
