Whoa, thanks for that request Reg. I do feel MUCH better now! That dude seriously needs to lay off the permanent marker fumes. I'm gonna' go out on a limb here and assume Mr. Max probably isn't the most manly of men? ~SM |

Too bad johnny is not in the contest. They are all pretty cool. BMC should build all 10 for PR. http://www.buell.com/en_us/promos/stt_contest/inde x.asp Vote now! |

I wonder what the plastic pieces cost? I may do up a set for myself using my design. I want to play with the Ghosting Pearl Clear-Coat effect idea I had. |

I'd continue the lightning bolt down to the chin spoiler, The contest unfortunately didn't allow for that so I couldn't do it. |

Johnny... Excellent! You've a real eye for design. I particularly like the asymetrical aspect of it. Would you reverse the color scheme on the left side "number plate?' |

Yeah, That's the plan, thanks Regkittrelle! |

Johnny that is cool! I like that one better than any in the contest! It makes the TT look Super TT hero fun! I think they probably disqualified your's because you did the fork protectors. They said you couldn't change those I want to show the one I submitted now too. It's kinda plain but I like it. How did you keep the resolution so good but small enough to fit on here Johnnymoss? |

Thanks 45, Yeah, white fork protectors on an otherwise painted bike looks absolutely dumb, so I just had to paint them up. (to post high res pics) If you are hosting your pic on an outside site, like photobucket, it's easy, just paste the html from photobucket in your message and it will show up full size. |

Here's mine, I had to scab this one together quick 'cause I had no time to work on it before submitting, that and my computer's "illegal operation" problem. I could have done better, but oh well. It's not as cool as your's Johnny. I agree, it was lame that the protectors couldn't be done... http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q188/Thundersto rm_2007/45DegreeTHUNDERSTORM1203.jpg?t=1168281914 (Message edited by 45 degrees on January 08, 2007) |

45! I like yours better than all of those on the site also. hahahahaha. It's hard to get into the head of what Eric was thinking, I guess he wanted designs that looked more one-off than something that you'd actually want to produce and sell. Go figure. I'm voting for the cracked land one as the designer is a member of this forum. I just can't vote for any of the rest. |

" No, the idea was to come up with a design that could be mass produced. It was part of the decision making they used to pick the top 10. |

Buellinahinashop, I know, I read the contest rules, but looking at the finalists, it doesn't come across that way to me anyway. Nice Design by the way, I was contemplating some camo-military theme myself. |

It was fun though I have to admit. playing around with an idea. I like how Buell thinks, letting people get involved in one way or another is a GREAT idea. |

It was fun! They need to do more contests like this. I need to switch over to Mac first though. I hate seeing "this program has performed an illegal operation, and will be shut down". It drives me crazy. |

My computer is pretty wimpy I must admit. I like to use Corel photo paint. Though I am by no means a professional. I'm nowhere near being able to exploit even what photo paint could allow. LOL. |

45, very nice work man, yours is easily better than 3/4 of the 10. CityX, I had a front fender like that on a '82 Huffy BMX bike. Oh, see through is for lingerie. |

I put a discrete "degree" symbol next the the 45 on mine and underneath it says "Thunderstorm 1203". Thought It'd be cool to proclaim the powerplant a bit more. Especially effective when an aftermarket exhaust is added like a Special O.P.S. or Drummer. A lightning bolt is 45-50,000 degrees Fahrenheit... the surface of the sun is only 9,440 degrees Fahrenheit... just a quick bit of trivia for fun. (Message edited by 45 degrees on January 08, 2007) |

And now using the exact girl that's in the contest! I've had her on my computer for a long time now. She integrates into my design quite well if I say so myself. |

I think this "cheesecake" artist would be more appropriate, given the "canvas"... http://www.photonovas.com/2/abuell1.htm HellBuelly J "There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others, like Erik, who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a sorryass Sportster into a Badass Buell." --Pablo 'P3' Picasso |
