HAVE X1 LOVE THE LOOK,NOT CRAZY ABOUT ITS HANDLING .I AM AWARE I CAN SPEND LOTS OF MONEY TO MAKE IT BETTER BUT THE DESIGN IS STILL THE SAME.ANY EX TUBERS CAN GIVE ME SOME INSIGHT ON WHY THE XB IS THE WAY TO GO ..THAMKS TOMRACER69 |

When I switched from a 2000 X1 to a 2003 XB9R I took over 6 seconds off my laps times. |

I have ridden an S3 on the track, an ex-Hal's S1 Thunderbike (a buddy bought it) - and my XB9. There's really no comparison. On the tuber, you always feel as if you're having to muscle it - having to ride around difficult handling. Takes a while to get the XB setup just perfect but once the suspension on both ends is setup correctly, you'll never go back. The tubers are fun to ride but if you ride HARD, you are better off on the newer XB chassis. |

The difference in handling is like comparing a WWII fighter to a jet. The sensation of cornering and the feedback you get from an XB is totally different. It wasn't the brake induced standup that caught my attention (not nearly as bad or abrupt as some moto-journalists have reported), it was the ease of side-to-side transitions that surprised me. It's like a night and day difference with a tuber in that regard. Tubers are more forgiving if you get the suspension settings way off; XB's are very sensitive to suspension settings. You have to do your homework and get it right. XB's also wheelie easier because of the shorter wheelbase (they stoppie easier too, not really a good thing for most of us). A good rider on a tuber is going to get a workout keeping up with a comparable rider on an XB. Still keeping my tuber, though. |

A guy I know has a 2000 X1 with a race kit. I have a stock 2006 City X. Who do you Think would win a road race?? He cliams his X1 is the fastest thing on earth and says it puts out 130hp witch I know is BS. Whats do you guys think??? |

His X1 has just the race kit and his line of BS. Not that I'm into road racing, I just ride because I enjoy it. And I bought my City X because I liked it the second I seen and test rode one, not because I thought it was fast. This guy is just a fool. I guess his mouth puts out more HP than his bike. I think I'm the better rider anyway (If not better, safer). |
