Sat on a 06 Uly with a stock seat & had to decide which tippy toe would touch terra firma. Rode an 06 XB12Ss and it was love at first mile, but I need the hard luggage. Any Uly owners with the Buell or Corbin low seat? Any 07 owners with the lower seat height? Would appreciate any input. Had a 96 S1 and still regret selling it. |

The '07 seat is lower and has a narrower profile near the faux tank. Cost of '07 seat is about $120. There are suspension lowering options available (not official Buell mods) that could further lower the bike. If you have a propensity toward the Buell motorcycle, you can't go wrong with the Ulysses. |

I just got an 07 Uly after lusting for one since ~July 05. I'm ~5'9" with a 30" inseam and it's a reach for me, but I can definitely handle the height and I think I'll get more comfortable with it as time goes on. I've put about 270 miles on it so far and like the stock seat very much. |

I bought my Uly for the same reason, wanted the luggage and Uly specific accessories. Problem, too tall. I lowered mine by almost 2 ". I installed a XB12SS rear shock, slipped the fork legs up 1 1/2 " and made room for the forks by raising the handlebars with a inverted 2nd handlebar clamp. I have all the goodies, 3 pc luggage, underseat bag, deluxe tank bag, satallite radio, tall wind screen and low seat. The lowering cost less than $400, all the parts new from Buell except having 1 1/2 " taken out of the side stand and welded, tried available Buell side stands and all were too short by about an inch, doesn't sound like much but tips the bike too far over. I love this bike now! My prior Buell was a XB12S and it wasn't a good sport tourer, but the Uly is now great. Thanks, Ed |

I've been lusting for one too after a test ride this fall but don't want to give up my Firebolt. So many bikes, so little cash. |
