I picked up my '06 12R and it didn't have the owners manual. Am I going to have to go to the dealer or will Buell supply me with a replacement ? |

Is it a new bike? If it is, the dealer should have it, or get it for you if they don't. |

I lost my paper service manual and bought a CD version on-line. Then I found the paper one two hours later.... I assume it has all the info that an owners manual would have and more. PM me if you want it. |

If it is a new bike, the dealer should get you one. If it is not, and the dealer wasn't helpful enough to give you one already, I would forget about him, and order one from Daves, one of our sponsors, from Appleton HD, and a major supplier of Buell parts to many members of this board. His number is 920 757 1567, he is off Mondays. While you are at it, many members find that owning the shop manual and the parts books are extremely useful as well as the owners manual, especially if you plan on doing any of your own work. |

All three are worth the price of admission. Especially the service & parts books. I'm still wishing that Buell would provide the full service manual online so I could just print the pages as I need them & not get my book so filthy that I can no longer read it. Maybe they could work something out where you take your paper version into a dealer to verify purchase & receive an access code. Or maybe they can charge you 52.20 online for an access code. Either way there's gotta be a way for BMC to offer this & not lose a lot of $$$ to piracy. Perhaps they could make the pages printable but not downloadable (if that's possible). That would solve that problem I think. |

Hey Ken, got the link to the OM for an 05 XB12Scg? How did you find that owners manual on the Buell website? |

On Buell.com click the FAQ link in the very top right of the screen (pretty small). The first FAQ question is "can I get an owners manual?" and you click on that to find the links to the online manuals, including the '05 Lightning. The manual is the same for the cg and the regular lightning. |

Yep just like Jim said above. Here is the link to the '05 Lightning Owners Manual though if you do not feel like looking. http://www.buell.com/om/99474-05Y_en/index.asp |
