I KNOW WE SHOULD PUT THIS IN THE VAULT, BUT ITEMS SEEM TO GET LOST THERE. THE ANSWERS SEEM TO COME HERE MUCH QUICKER! REGARDLESS HERE I GO ADDING TO THE PROBLEM, BUT ITS ONLY BECAUSE I AM NEARING 1000 MILES AND I WANT TO ORDER THE PARTS AND INSTALL DURING MY 1000 MILE OIL CHANGE, SO FORGIVE MY EAGER INTENTIONS. Allllllrightythen! What is the best way to go here. I have a D&D exhaust to install on a 2005 XB12S. Looking for suggestions on best way to handle install. Do I leave the stock ECM on there, add a power commander, and just disconnect the interactive exhaust valve at the pipe. Or is a Race ECM and remove the interactive exhaust valve the way to go. With either option I will add a K&N air filter and adjust the TPS. Thanks & Keep Your Knees to the Breeze! Kevin |

Dude, you are all over the map with your questions. If I was going to install a D&D exhaust system, here's what I would do. 1. Install the D&D muffler. 2. Remove the interactive exhaust cable from the actuator, leaving the actuator in place and connected. Or, remove the actuator and replace it with a XB12 Exhaust Valve Emulator from Trojan Horse Racing. 3. Install the K&N filter 4. Install a Race ECM or have the Stock ECM reflashed with DirectLink. I have read ,in more than one place, that Power Commander does not work with current Buell F.I. systems. I can speak first hand that Techlusion TFI is not worth the bother. 5. Reset TPS. |

Kevin, I have the D&D on my XB9 and it never ran quite right until I had the ECM remapped using Direct-Link. You can have your stock ECM remapped. I had the PCIII before the Direct-Link and had nothing but trouble. If you have any questions, drop me a line. |

We have an XB12 D&D map (with K&N, open airbox), but I need to find a new beta tester. The beta tester I had didn't do the work he promised when the weather was warm, and now it's too cold where he lives to do it. I can't sell the map until we've road tested it. Al |

Al, If I can help with testing let me know. The bike is only 2 weeks old and I'm heading for 1000 miles, even with all the lovely rain in TX. lately, and trying to share time with my e-glide. I love the arrowhead signals and Halogen H7 bulbs that ya sold me, they rock. I learned in the rain last week I may need to work on keeping the rear tire spray down....me thinks my ass is still wet! But getting that D&D on and tuned is my next chore, let me know if I can help. Keep Your Knees to the Breeze! Kevin |
