My xbs12 was stolen and recovered. The ignition key tumblers had to be replaced. Dealer ordered a new ignition lock and key. Now I have one key for the ignition and a different for the gas tank and seat. Can I order the same lock core for the gas cap and seat? My new key came with a number on the key--does this mean anything? |

Yes the dealer can order matching keys for all 3 locks and they can order matching sets. they have the ability to look up your vin number and get locks that are matched to your bike and what it left the factory with . It may take a few weeks but they cna do it. I am waiting on a new ignition lock right now , mine was replaced when it was broken now i have 2 different keys and they are making me a new ignition lock now . good luck it will take a few. |

A locksmith shouldn't have any trouble re-keying all of the locks for 1 key. |

I am going through this as we speak. After some digging, it was just cheaper to order a whole new set (ignition, seat, cap) instead of trying to get everything rematched. The triple set was only ~$100. If you price out the individual parts it is quite a bit more (maybe Daves can do better) |
