Any recommendations for an alarm on an XB12S? Lojack isn't available in my state, and the Cycle Protect alarms require a monthly fee. I'm looking at a Scorpio, but their web site does not mention any Buell-specific applications. Just looking for some feedback on what works before I spend the money. |

I've got the Scorpio, its a great system. No, it is not Buell specific so you have to splice a couple wires. Super easy install though. The two-way transmitter is really worth the cost versus some other lesser alarms. I would highly recommend it. |

Xena disc alarm is nice and build for bikes. My xbs was just recovered from being stolen out of my driveway. On the 1st attempt they saw the Xena alarm and vandeled my bike. I built a custom proximity alarm out of x10 components that protects the area as soon as someone walks near where the bike is parked. Burglers HATE flashing lights and loud noises. I had a vid cam on the bike, they did not care about that, they can just wear a hat. You can also buy a $20 hallway alarm with motion detection built in. It not built for bikes, but works real good. I'm thinking putting behind the front plastic shield. I prefer alarms the go off if you step near the bike. Ones that use vibration give the theives too much time to disable the unit. If you want a low budget project, pull the guts out of this alarm http://cgi.ebay.com/Mace-Brand-PIR-Alarm-w-Remote-Control-Alarm-System_W0QQitemZ9512031763QQcmdZViewItem and put it under the plastic tank or plastice shield. Another alarm unit that may make a good unit to tear apart and retool into a buell proximity alarm: http://www.homesecuritystore.com/ezStore123/DTProd uctZoom.asp?productID=899 |

Coturi, where did you hide the box for your scorpio? I am a little short of room on my bike, and am looking for suggestions. |

I installed my gorilla alarm behind the flyscreen, works like a champ, no problems wiring it in, took about 30 mins to install. |

Well, when I had the S tail I had everything under the seat. Then I put the R tail on and moved the brain under the inner airbox cover right in front of the seat. Just cut a small slit in the cover for the wires to come down under the seat. Its real clean and out of the way. The sensors are all still under the seat. Let me know if you need any help. |

Got the Scorpio i500 on my XBS and space IS a problem. I mounted the control module inside the airbox, without any problems at all.
