I wonder if the wind screen melts the gauges on the new Ducati as well? If so, you know there is something going on! |

i love my buell as much as the next guy - but that ducati is sexy as hell - and in my opinion, even better looking (by far) than the bolt... |

I see one similarity, the front fairing and thats it!! If Buell were to ever produce a machine like that, it wouldnt be for sale until my unborn grand kis can buy it. Even then , it will be out of date technology because it runs on gas. Suddenly I feel as if my Buell looks like a garage sale on wheels compared to something so simple and sleek. |

How much does that cost? I like my "garage sale on wheels" for the price I paid. An MV August F4 is dead sexy, but I don't want to pay that much for a bike! |

Great price. I was also reading that they are not nearly as maintenance intensive as they used to be. Plus the services will cost less on top of it. |

If only we could get Buell to copy Ducati... Why would you want them to do that? If you want a Ducati go buy a Ducati. This makes like the 1000th thread I've read of someone wanting what they don't have. Buell has a market, if it's not for you then stop bitching. I love Ducati as much as anyone else, but, this IS a BUELL board right? Do you think the Desmo Owner's Club give a damn about Buells? Right, like they sit on their boards and wish their Ducati was more like Buell. And as far as Buell being innovative, they are. Just like Ducati can style a bike you'd kill your own mother for! $0.02 } |

Very sexy. Very beautiful. Sadly though, even if I could afford such a bike as that it wouldn't be very fun on the crappy rippled roads of West Marin. On the freeway it would be a hoot until I get that gigantic speeding ticket. I think I'll stick with my Buell & admire the Ducati from afar. |

Ahhh.. the "S" - $20K easy.. did you opt for the additional $5K for the Tri-color? Of course, I lust after an "S" as a track bike.. keep my Buell happy on the street.. and that sexy red thing on the track where she could actually use the 160bhp (base).. Now, if only I were a millionaire and could afford such things.. |

If I was gonna' go the Duc route, I'd probably nab one of these. Totally different from the XB, but I really like the lines of it. Pretty sweet looking for a mere $8500 US, too. I'd have to get another seat though... my Ss has spoiled my buttocks! Also: Amen Smokescreen!

Smokescreen, I understand where you're coming from, but I have to ask myself why so many Buell owner's are wishing their bikes were more like Ducs. I find it hard to believe that there are that many people that have chosen the wrong community. We're all here because something about Buell's pulled us in. Personally I'm here because of the (very) creative thinking by Erik and the elves. Does that mean I think Buells are perfect? Of course not. Do I think Duc's are perfect? Far from it. But I know that there are several things that Ducati does very well. There's nothing wrong with being beaten. Being beaten turns to failure when you stop striving to be better. Beating Duc at their own game while preserving the intense streetfighter look is going to be very very tough. But I know with Erik leading the charge, we'll win in the end. And I know what you're going to say, "we're not trying to beat Duc..." And I'm going to have to disagree with you. We ride sportbikes, they're made to go fast and turn on a dime. We've got the turning part down, now we just need to do it a little faster. And doing it faster is something that Ducati does very well. We're picking our prey, but Erik and elves are going to have to hunt them down for us. |
