Just how easy is it to pull off the bar ends (how do i do it). I did not see it in the service manual. I need to measure my inside bar dimensions to order a set of Oberon Bar End Mirrors. I'd like to order them today if anyone know the inside dimension of 2005 XB12s bars from the top of their head. I think I read somewhere they are around 18mm, but I'd like to be sure. Thanks, Keep Your Knees to the Breeze! Kevin |

Bar end removal: 1. Wrap bar end with masking tape, 3 or 4 turns. 2. Manfully grip taped bar end with pair of garden variety pliers. 3. Wriggle a little and pull vigorously. 4. That's it. PS The interior diameter of the bars is the same as all other 7/8" bars, so you can omit steps 1 to 4 until your mirrors arrive if they are made for 7/8" as opposed to 1" bars. |

I just made some bar end weights for my Uly this am. The actual ID of my 7/8" bars was .735, slightly larger than either 18mm or 23/32". I assume this will be the same for all other steel 7/8" bars used on Buells. |
