I'm looking for anyone with experience with this spring kit. I'm 6'1" and 215lbs, and was wondering if this kit would be a worth while investment. I plan to do some track days and a track school. Will this make a noticeable difference on the track or not? It seems like a bargain, if it works. Hey Daves, what do you have for a price on this kit? |

I ordered it last week from my dealer hopefully I'm doing the rear spring and having the do the front during the 10K service.. For bigger guys I've heard it makes a good difference and for 70 something dollars its IMO a lot bang for your buck compared.. |

The price of installing the kit is something you need to consider. Easley a couple hundred bucks plus. Most people are not in a position to install it themselves....Charlie |

Upgrading the springs is an excellent idea for some one of your weight. ( I weigh the same). While you are having the springs installed, you might think about upgrading the valving in the shocks as well. If you can get the work done by a suspension specialist who goes to the same track days you do, like Dave Moss at Willow, all the better. As I may have previously observed, I recommend a steering damper for aggressive riding on the road, and especially for the track. I believe this is even more important for larger riders on the short wheelbase Buells. ( Most racing organizations require them for actual racing.) I just ordered all my parts for a fork service from Al. The fork spring compressor tool, oil leveling tool and the parts. I am also interested in the race kit springs for the 41mm forks...(DaveS can I also get a price? Do you have them?). |
