Alright, so I admit to the world that I do indeed like the new TT. However... The color "options" are ridiculous. You can choose all white, OR all white with a Barricade Orange air box. Not only is it a nasty color combo, but it just doesn't make one bit of sense. Any other color (and I mean ANY other color) Buell offers woulda' looked better with the white. Cheery Bomb or Hero Blue Translucid would have truly rocked. Consider this my verbal pimp slap to the marketing department. ("Doh!" for you!) The Barricade Orange with the white doesn't do it for me either. I do agree that any of the translucent offerings would have looked much better. The good news is the plastic is interchangeable with the exception of the side number plates. | ||

They must have a surplus of Barricade colored stuff they're looking to get rid of! That was the problem: so many choices. So, pick the airbox color of your choice, they are CHEAP! Then you can keep the original to put back on untouched when you trade it in or sell it in a couple of years. | ||

don't forget racing style fiberglass airbox covers are available even cheaper, there are also c-f, and aluminum versions to choose from. The world is your oyster! | ||

This TT has me so confused Yep - I'm with you Max. The whole supermoto/supermotard thing to me doesn't fit a Buell, even this Buell. Maybe it's me. When I think of supermoto, I think of dirtbikes with plenty of suspension, lightweight, and 17's. I'm not sure if this TT is going to appeal to that market segment. OK, Here is my 2 cents: I do agree that the XB is a mix n match bike. Thats a good thing. Also given the fact that the SS is so much the same bike as my 04 12s is OK too, think logistics and reliability. Here is the underling bonus-If that bike is different enough to put someone on top of it then mission accomplished. Allow me to use a true real life example. While at the H_D dealer in Cleveland Oh. getting a new tire I was talking to the only saleswomen that seemed even to know what a Buell was when an older couple walked in to look for a new bike. He didnt want this and he didnt want that (H_Ds). But he did want something that him and his wife could ride comfortably. I got him to sit on a Uly. They liked! But just a little too high. I know that seats can be had but the SS can fill another small hole so to speak. Now if the SS had been sitting there I would would bet with the addition of PAX pegs that bike would have been bought on the spot. So the XB line is expanding. Not to the likes of some, but thats OK to. As it has been said before: If it aint broke dont fix it. | ||

Now that I've thought about this a little, BMC might be onto something. Sell the bike with only 2 choices, white or the ugliest airbox color in the lineup. That way customers will almost certainly purchase another set of plastic! Brilliant!!! | ||

Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that Buells are just big, fast Lego sets! I just think it's odd (and ultimately bad logic) to offer the barricade/white combo as the ONLY other color option, because customers are obviously going to gravitate to the solid white over and over. Why even bother with a choice? ~SM | ||

I agree the Barracde Yellow (it's freaking yellow not orange) is not my cup-o-tea But I do like the Artic White... White on a bike is, i dunno, classy. I think arctic white would look great on a City-X. Hmm... here I go wanting an XB again. anyone wanna trade their XB9SX for a 95 S2??  | ||
