Have a friend there to help old and fit the body. I hope you get the mount kit as well? it is not optional. Be especially careful attatching the lower to the upper fairing. It is very easy to get the holes too close to the edge. Measure twice drill once is very good advice. it is far easier to trim off a little more than it is to try to repair after cutting too far. If you are using it on a street bike be careful to leave enough room around the kickstand to keep it from rubbing when it is down and ruining your paint. When mounting be especially careful to leave enough room on the right side so that the exhaust does not get too close to the bodywork. It will get hot enough to scorch the paint on the outside. I reccomend one of the self adhesive heat shields that is used for the same purpose on cars. Most auto parts stores will have something like that. stick it on the inside of the fairing where the exhaust is closest. A 4x6 inch area should do it. Give the exhaust tip a good bit of clearance. The motor moves independantly from the frame you are mounting the body to. Do not try to ride without the lower fairing. The lower helps keep the upper rigid. |
