Reep, but did you see the handguard/mirrors? Pretty cool huh? They have it spec'd at 95hp. Nothing listed on fuel capacity yet. http://www.ducati.com/en/bikes/my2007/FamilyPage.j html?family=Hypermotard Raptor and Rockets have it listed at 11.5 liters.. http://www.raptorsandrockets.com/news.html, (Message edited by JScott on November 14, 2006) |

I like the looks of most (all) Buells but this one is as ugly as you can get. Buy an XSB12sTT and the first thing to do is to remove those nasty section number plates. Result is a mix between an City-X and an XB12s. The white body panels might be a good idea for graffiti artists in the accessories-shop.

I like it. I mean compared to all the other superbikes the rest of you chuckleheads have designed. Oh wait... I think it's functional. I have enough tickets right now though. My next bike will be a Ulysses for touring, but this could easily replace my 9S one day. |

I don't think the new ducati 1098 was designed by a chucklehead... |

maybe they are just using the TT to use up remaining parts before they come with the really good new stuff. |

For me, the CityX still reigns as the best Buell available. Unless they ever release a Ulysses model with lower seat height and the 984 cc engine. Mark |

I don't think its a new model but if you took off those rear panels the rest then is imo a new take on the City-X with a 1200 motor - and I don't see anything too wrong with trying that. If I was in the market it might tempt me over the Lightning. I like the bars and seat and extra ride height. Black wheels are better than color ones imo, extra length/room and extra fuel, only need to do custom paint on the white panels and got a top bike. That new Ducati (or the KTM 990) is no more a real motard than this - motards dont weight 200kg ready to ride - just exercise in styling. |

Meh, the side panels are just attached to the passanger footpeg mounting points. Only good thing i can figure out from this 'new' model is the apparent increase of ground clearance with higher suspension. Personally i have mangled my exhaust from the front by hopping down kerbs and couple of harder landings from wheelie. And speaking of 'big' supermotos i'd say only way to go is the KTM 950 Supermoto or 950 Supermoto R... i don't want to even imagine the bill when you crash that Ducati. Afterall, you are supposed to crash with supermotos. |

If they are gonna build a supermoto... why not build a supermoto? we only need one cylinder... it could be a Blast! i would much rather have a bike like the ones above than a superbike. |

Yeah, but Stealth, you aren't the typical small penised male with something to prove. Well, something to prove that needs a machine to do it anyway...You know what I mean. |

Hmmm, been there, done that a year ago
hardly a brand new model when you can just bolt on the XB12SS seat onto the Uly subframe. |

That new Ducati (or the KTM 990) is no more a real motard than this - motards dont weight 200kg ready to ride - just exercise in styling. The KTM is a 'super' Duke, which implies its superiority over the lesser / smaller models. In this case that would be a V twin engine, which KTM harnessed in a chassis and style befitting their image, not a Supermoto image. Nowhere have I seen KTM call their Super Duke a Supermoto. Ducati similarly have not called their soon to be released a Supermoto either. They have gone with Hypermoto. Again I have not seen Ducati call their bike a Supermoto. I'm sure both companies however are happy to make the relationship between Supermoto and their models somewhat fitting of Supermoto design influences. Buell have jumped on a marketing band waggon. The TT, which is a marketing pisstake in itself, has nor bears no reference to a Supermoto what so ever. This form of advertising is a lie to the uninitiated. The bike is in poor taste as is the sales blurb they are trying to push with it. The domain of the Supermoto and the street bikes they influence should be left intact. Several years ago Buell called their XBR's 'Sportsfighters'. No one muscled in on Buells idea and likewise Buell shouldn't disrupt the genre of Supermoto by seeking to change peoples perception of what one is. Several million Americans are at risk of bastardising a European genre because of shit like this. Supermotos are as European as Harleys are American. At least if Buell are going to jump in on the band waggon, GET THE STYLE OF THE BIKE RIGHT or leave the Supermoto theme well alone. Better still, why not call it a 'Dirtfighter' or something fittingly American? Can't we have anything without you bastards invading us Trojans is so much nicer. That's because we are the right side of the pond to understand the Supermoto genre. Even MV can have a go!

I agree with steath. They should have done something with the blast I bet some low level designer got a huge pay raise for stealing Trojan's design. I like the Trogan supermoto better. |

An extra mystery screw hole showed up on the triple tree lower clamp in 2005. On one side, a threaded hole that is used to clip down the brake line. On the other side, a mirrored threaded hole, but there is no breakline over there. Is that where the Uly "beak" mounts? If so, they may have been planning some of this stuff since 2005. I'm looking forward to putting that beak on my 9sx, I think it will look cool, I just have to figure out how to get the fork protectors in black. Maybe I can cut down my existing fender. |

dammit ... looks like the mother(f@#$%&*$) co. is up to its classic H.D. Tricks i/e put a different seat or fender etc. on a m/c and they have created a "new" model ! (look at all the different models H.D. lists) most of the H.D. models can be duplicated in one's own garage with simple bolt-on stuff !!!! |

BORING Come on Buell. Stop pussyfooting around and give us a real bike. All this switching plastics and subframe BS is really starting to annoy me. We need a brand new superbike Buell. |

And when are we going to see a 6spd already? It's almost as if they know what we want, and are trying to piss us off. |

Why does anyone feel the need for a sixth gear? I can't understand why you would think it is NEEDED. I rarely use fifth, only on the highway. |

It would give you more top end on the track and better gas mileage on the highway. |

Personally, I like the concept of the new TT. Just think of it as a the XB12 CityX with some additional features. From my perspective, I have always been challenging HD and Buell to come up with a street tracker and a supermoto based on the XB1200 engine. Now, both of them have put me into a bind concerning which bike to buy. Assuming both will have relatively similar performance levels, I am still going for the XR1200 compliments of more relaxed seat to handlebar ergo's and the fact that I like to see more engine. However, Buell's frame simply won't allow that. Still, with the Uly ergo's on the TT, I just might have a problem with a buying decision come spring. Other than that, the only thing missing from both bikes is a skid plate. |

Apparently TT racing has changed. I thought TT racing was a "dirt" road course with one 4 ft tall jump in the straight away, hardly super moto. To me this TT is more "StreetTracker" in styling than anything else and that is exactly what I would expect from a bike called a "Super TT". I don't care for the side number plates, but other than that, I like the styling. |

I don't care for the side number plates, but other than that, I like the styling. And thus we get to the core of the problem. With the exception of the number plates, what we have is just a rehash of existing parts, with the possible exception of the seat. It's a 12S with Dumbo Ears and a Ulysses fender. WTF where they thinking |

There are differences - suspension pieces and angles - I'm real curious about the handling in comparison to the other Buells - what the bikes specific goal eludes me though - though the white minus the number plates looks cool. GT - JBOTDS! EZ |
