>My insurance actually dropped from >$444,on the Buell, to $271 a year for the >Duc. >You gotta love Geico. If Geico can help me afford a 4th bike... well I wont call those commercials gay anymore Seriously though, I'm hooked on the idea of owning one of those soon. I like the white '07.... "The power comes on the same as the Buell, but it just has more of it." Duc 1000Ds VS Buell XB12? Not likely that the Duc has more power. |

Thanks again for all the complements, I really thought I would get a ration of SH#T for posting about an Italian bike. which model is the one you got... i am seriously thinking about getting one of these but just discovered them This model is the S4R with the 996 water cooled four valve motor from the 996 Superbike. what are the pros...and cons.... and can you ride this bike a lot or do you work on it every 100 miles...i am thinking about getting the 1000 i just found out they totaled my bolt today...i will probably buy it back though can you carry a passenger also..if so how comfortably..i cant tell if that is a seat or a cowl Yellowbolter, The seat cowl comes off so I can carry a passenger. The seat is about as comfortable as my XB12Ss was. Ducatis have this stigma about being like the OLD Harleys, not very reliable. I have seen Duc's with very high mileage and they still look and run brand new. The maintenance schedule is every 6000 miles and then you just check the valve clearance, the valves may not need to be adjusted. The new 1000DS engine, which is the air cooled model, is as reliable as any engine made........plus they just sound cool.} |

Nice looking twin! I've always liked Ducati's. I'm planning to buy a sexier Italian machine, a single-cylinder beauty that will outlast your machine and always get me fired up! Kick-starter and all... Seriously, enjoy your ride!
