Over on another Buell enthusiasts website there is a rumor floating that Buell/HD is buying Ducati. Sounds far-fetched to me. Anyone else heard this? |

Yes, it's been mentioned here (Badweb) also. Actually, I bought Ducati for $1.00 |

Yeah, old news, everyone has those parimiter brakes and that fuel in frame thing now, when is Buell gonna come up wiht a new idea? Guys they are still ahead of the curve. This thing looks like it will be a serious hoot to ride. An S1 WL inspired XB. A tiny little ligth weigth bike with huge torque. |

For a supermoto shouldn't it have a blast motor? I understand that it is an answer to Ducati and KTM "hypermotos" but still... |

Ugliest XB, ever! Glad to see Buell using HD's approach of beating a platform into the ground. |

"I understand that it is an answer to Ducati and KTM "hypermotos" but still..." I don't know that I would call it an answer, perhaps a quess, but not an answer. |

It looks like Buell (or possibly HD) put more thought into the marketing campaign than the actual Motorcycle There just isn't anything new to be excited about. Slightly different suspension and some quirky new bodywork Wake me up in 08 On the plus side, it doesn't look like the XB12STT could have required too much Engineering Staff, R&D, or $$. Hopefully those resources are being used for more exciting future motorcycles. |

Seems like alot of dissatisfied messages into the suggestion box for erik to read. I guess even if this machine is a total failure the reality is they only spent money on 2 x icecream lids to stick on the side of an XBSS. so no great loss |

It looks like fun. But at 450lbs, give or take a couple, I'm not backing it into a corner. I've tried that on my 9S and it's not smooth. Could be the tires are too sticky, but it felt a lot heavier. Super-Moto should be super light. Vaneo1, TT typically stands for Tourist Trophy. Historical thing - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Man_TT |

Sorry only interesting thing about this model is having white plastics on a XB12S platform that can be dyed any color you want. |

One is an A++ one is an F- Imagine if you where in school and as a project the teacher asked you to modify an XBS to compete for sales with the Ducati.. Lol id be ashamed to submit that buell as an alternative to the sleek ducati. |

I don't understand all the disappointment. Didn't http://www.raptorsandrockets.com/ spill the beans that Buell would be releasing a CityX in a 1203 about a month ago? That's basically what it is. The fact that they added the front Uly bill-type fender and the plastic number plates are a styling plus. I definitely like the looks of the XB9SX type seat and tail on a XB12Ss/XB type frame. I think it is a very cool looking bike. |

This could quite possibly be the most embarassing thing Buell has done to themselves. I hope I'm wrong. I really do. But so far the verdict sounds like it's out... F Lose the wings. Just one more thing to have to replace that serves no purpose. I'm bored with the banana seat. It looks like it came of an old Honda CB. |

Why is buell heading towards the dirt rather than the race track? Are they done with the 984 engine? (Message edited by staindus on November 14, 2006) |

While the Duc is beautiful the Buell has the advantage that it actually has a place to put gasoline I'll wait and see what the Duc hypermotard looks like and works like when it ends up street legal. |

I guess I must be the only person here to actually like the wings! I'll probably get a set and paint 'em Sunset, so long as they use the Ss passenger peg bolt holes (it appears as though they would). I'll probably slap some Robotech decals on them as well... it would be fitting. ;P The one and only thing I like about having plastic body parts: they're freakin' cheap! =D ~SM |
