I'm looking at the manual on the shelf, but I am too lazy to stand up and get it.

I need a nap!

Well that depends...

If you're doing it yourself, you'll get fresh fluids, tweaked adjustments, and tightening of your loose bits.

If you're taking it to a stealership, they're going to let you pay them $300 to pencil whip the checklist and see how far they can get your left front fork crammed up your....(at least this has been my experience, but maybe I'm just sexier than most)

Do yourself a favor and get the shop manual and do it yourself. That's part of the fun anyway, right?

Before the winter sets in, don't forget to change out the summer air in your tires for fresh winter air.

lol...don't forget to check the water level in your front axle...i have a story...i work at the harley shop, and a guy rolls in and says i have a problem with me front end. we went outside to look at the bike and he says, "i think my water level in my front axle is low" and i said "huh, really" and hes like " thats what the other dealer told me to check" it happened to be the brake pads barely touching the rotor, making the shhhh sound....funny harley riders...

Low of 50 today, with the high near 80.

If you're paying for a valve adjustment on your Buell, you're being ripped off. Believe it or not, a friend brought his Kawasaki Voyager XII in for it's 600 mile service a few years ago and the dealership tried to whack him for a valve adjustment. He looked the service rep in the eye and said: "Valve adjustment?" The rep responded "Yes, we always adjust the valves at the first service." So, still looking him in the eye, my friend said "So if I call Kawasaki corporate and ask them if it's standard procedure to adjust the HYDRAULIC VALVES at the 600 mile service, they'll say 'Yes?'"

The rep didn't say a word... just took the work order, crossed out "Valve adjustment" and recalculated the total. He never brought the bike back to them after that.

Here's a fun one....

....Ask a service writer or parts guy how much fork oil is needed to service your springer front end.
