who's powdercoated their frame and swingarm? what did it cost? what did you have to do to seal up the gas tank and oil tank? |

Xbob, I done mine a few times. Check out my site at www.grandstanddesigns.com for pics. Total cost from prep to powder is about $500 using a standard color powder for a frame and swingarm. Metallics and multiple powder applications get more pricey. Contact me if you need more info. Pete |

I powder coated my swing arm. Did it myself at my neighbor's. Powder coating system is $100. All you need is an oven(don't use your kitchen oven), a compressor, and a sandblaster. I cleaned the oil out of the swing arm and removed the bearings. Other than that, it was just like powder coating anything else. I'd be happy to answer any other questions, can't help you with the frame though. |
