My 2007 XB12Scg is back with a new engine swing arm and oil lines. The spur bearing failed. The cage was all twisted up and some of the bearing rollers were broken. Once the bearing was remove the old engine turned freely. They were thinking the cause was a foreign object from the hose manufacturing process. I spoke with a 2006 Ulysses owner whose oil pump went out a five thousand mile. He said in his case there had been an inspection sticker in the oil system. Buell wanted my old swing arm for testing. Breaking in the new engine now. Cut off the cheese grater, polishing things out this weekend. see, I'm sorry to report a 2007 XB problem.a, Archive through October 13, 2006, for the whole story. |

We had a new bike, just uncratted at my work. the tech put it on the lift to setup it up(hook battery up, add gas, etc.) he did it, then was going to go for a test ride and the engine light came on. it happened to be the active exhaust servo took a crap before it even got a ride. i guess it was just the crappy one of the bunch. |

Good to see they took care of it all. Have fun modding it, and be safe! |
