Is the local dealer doing a discount if you do a burnout? |

I've never done a burnout anywhere except the bleach box at the the dragstrip, and that was only in cars. Nothing against them, though. |

Firebolteric_ma I'm looking at those pics and it looks like your group has a few miles to ride home in the mountains ...on those tires after the burnouts? !!?? |

Nutsnbolt......check out these guys...They live up my neck of the woods. http://sickshooter.com/index1.htm I had to make my own brackets for them but you get the idea. Slaughter.....I actually did another burnout for a small boy watching us go through town, we stopped at a light and I fired up the tires again. That is when I pretty much killed it. rode another 100 miles or so to finish the run. Umm..Err..I had the bike in the back of the truck for me ride home.... |

Call me what ever you want but I seriously don't know why people waist their tires on a burn out. Last guy I know who did that rode his burnt out belt showing tire to lakeland and got stuck on the side of the road for a few hours. |

If the tire is going to be replaced shortly why not have some fun? I hate mostly spent rubber and consider using it up the "safe" thing to do- right guys?

When you do a burnout, don't you get a lot of rubber and debris on the underside of the tail, etc.? It looks like a fun way to say goodbye to some used up tires. |

Wait till it cools down and it brushes right off. Most of the rubber goes out the back onto the road surface. Just do it ! |

hell yeah burn outs are fun. I think this is a common way for XB owners to get rid of those crappy stock D208s. Some people like burn outs some don't. You say Tom-o-to I say Tom-a-to. I say burn those bitches! |

Yep, only way to see off a well served hoop. After making a tyre changer, every tyre we could find outta my mates garage went up in smoke. Needless to say some of his neighbours were a little more amused than others. |

See - burnouts are actually a safety feature. They prevent a squid from buying your used tire in an attempt to save some money by getting a tire for $10 and riding it for a week. Burn it down to the cord and that way you're doing a service to society by ensuring that nobody in the future can use that used tire! |

honestly, i couldn't see nuthin with my helmet on. it was over 100, no wind, and i was barely moving doing really slow rolling burnouts and nuts. i was sweating so bad it was running in my eyes, lol. normally i do have my stuff on, but hey, i am my own caretaker so no one else is to blame if i get alittle more banged up than i already am! and no, i'm not going to do rolling burnouts on the bottle!!! |
