>>>>>anyone use a different (kawasaki, suzuki, honda) tail section on their buell? Yes. Actually Buell Distribution Corporations ad agency did. This is how bad things were at one time. I was at the IMS show one year and there was a big posted of the "dream Buell dealer's showroom". Unfortunately the motorcycle in the picture was not a Buell it was an unnamed Japanese product with "BUELL" plastered on the sides of it. Can you believe the agency thought Buell made shirts, jackets and accessories and was totally clueless about the motorcycles? Any questions why I am thrilled with some of the progress that's been made. Yes. I've got LOTS of pictures AND I have the sign. I was told (ala the Buell stuff following the Snap-On Race of Champions) to "Get ride of that"...I did. It's here. |

I'm pretty sure Trojan Horse has one on their race bike. |

There use to be an S1W here in the UK that ran with the Buell Pro Race Clip-ons and a Suzuki RGV fairing top half and Air Tech seat hump. Maybe Trojan knows / remembers more about this Buell. It was from up near his neck of the woods. Rocket |

My "hump" is from a 636, I'm told. I bought it at a flea market, for $1.

It was from up near his neck of the woods. Yeah I remember that one. It belonged to a guy from York who used to run it 'run what you brung' drag racing. It has the Airtech 'GP' seat unit and looked a million dollars. I think it actually appeared in B2Win magazine as well. We run a Suzuki GSXR1000 K3 seat unit on our race bike as it gives more room for Phil to move his lofty frame around on

Trojan. How hard was install? I see that is a racing subframe ( I think). Do you think this would be possible on a regular firebolt frame/subframe? |

Xbob, sorry to intrude into the XB section but here is my M2 tuber with a Suzuki RF900 fairing. I always wanted a full faired Buell and here is my example. Pictures also posted last November,2005 in picture posting section. Bob

Trojan. How hard was install? I see that is a racing subframe ( I think). Do you think this would be possible on a regular firebolt frame/subframe? Extremely easy and just needed a small application with a jigsaw to trim the sides slightly, and to cut around wherer the saddle bolts fit. We are running a carbon version of the stock undertail, so this seat should fit with the stock subframe (but don't quote me on that one as I haven't tried it!). You would have to trim the seat a bit more at the back to see the tail light properly though, as it would be obscured on ours (if it was fitted of course).
