I'm still looking to line up a trade. My good condition <4k miles standard forks(41mm), rear shock and kickstand.....for your scg/low forks, shock and kickstand. I would appreciate any help I can get here. I would like the lower seat height because it would make riding easier for my gimpy self. The SCG/Low suspension is the one with the yellow spring on the shock. Since my bike is an 03 and has the 41mm forks the lower triple clamp will not need to be swapped. The cold weather is coming and I'd like to get things lined up early. I know someone out there bought the low bike but really wanted the standard height if they had know about it. If you are even slightly interested PM me and maybe we can make this work. If I could afford it I'd just buy the parts straight out, but I'm not in a position to do that right now. Thanks in advance. Diablobrain, Just wondering IF the cg kit will add handling performance on the R as I was thinking of doing the same, nice and LOW... The wife's scg is really low and was thinking also it wd. be nice on my12r...Just wondering though why they never offered this , is it a handling question or???? One thing I don`t like about the wife's is when I bring it up it hits hard on the way down not like my reg. R never hits hard... |

handling is supposed to be about the same. Ground to peg clearance is slightly less so that would probably be why the factory didn't build them. I just want the lower seat. Interested in making the wifes bike a standard? I could accommodate! |

Still looking guys. Yeags30 has said he might be willing if his bike didn't sell before the cold set in, and I trully appreciate that, but I'm afraid his bike will sell. I looked at it and it is very nice. If you are interested it is listed in the classifieds as "2003 XB9slr" http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=21&post=755250#POST75 5250 I know I'm shooting myself in the foot talking up his bike, but it's hard to be anything but nice to the guy that has stepped up and made even a contingent offer. You still up for the swap if it rolls around to November and it still hasn't sold Yeags30? if you have changed your mind it's all good, and I will bear no ill-will. I'll just make a little voodoo doll... and get a nail gun...and... |

I'm certain that someone out there would like to swap suspension bits with me, I just need to be asking when they check the board, so I have to keep bumping this thread up the list. |

I haven't checked on the price of the components new because right now it's out of reach for me. If I had the bucks I'd order up some fancy Ohlins bits, but that is not the reality I live in. |

Diablobrian - I've got a cg seat. Wasn't planning on getting rid of it, but I wouldn't be opposed to helping out a fellow Buell owner if you really want it. pepennington@yahoo.com |

Like Tim said, I have a Corbin I really like on my firebolt. I'm interested in trading a standard suspension (and kickstand) for the CG/low parts. |

Well you know...gotta draw the line somewhere. You could always give them a choice and say, "want it on the tailbone or the forehead - your choice baby." |

six of one, half dozen of the other, but it's a lot easier to burns on the knees and tailbone than on the forehead. |

If they don't want a low I have a solution! You could offer the option of having standard suspension on the bike instead of low and see if that improves prospects? I really do dig your bike, but I'm not in the market right now, finances you know |

Cool, I'll be able to come up with one. I'm about ready to call the riding season over, I keep hoping for a nice break in the rain, but it keeps coming down and it takes a couple of days for the cars to knock the gravel and sand off of the roads, but by then it's been raining again. Anyway thanks, I'll be in touch. |
