Ok, I really suck at using the search feature but I really did try. Has anyone commented on the integrated stop and turn lamp from American Sport Bike? Is it as bright as he says it is? |

I have the clear alternatives set up and it looks really good. It is very bright and easy to install. If you buy it off E-Bay it's cheaper as well. http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l75/norried/Buell/buellpics007.jpg http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l75/norried/Buell/buellpics005.jpg http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l75/norried/Buell/buellpics013.jpg Norrie. |

Thanks Norrie! Exactly type of pictures I was looking for! Question - is that the stock tail piece you have polished up? Question - do they sell the complete setup for the lights online (ebay) from clearalternatives, with the clear cover? |

Yes it's the stock tail piece cut down and polished. Yes it's the com-plete set up including the clear cover or you can order a smoked one if you want. Here's the link. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buell-Lightning-Firebolt-Integrated-LED-taillight _W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35557QQihZ007QQitemZ170033344580 Norrie. |

The Clear Alternatives version has considerably fewer LEDs than the American Sport Bike one. This has been mentioned on another thread. Do a search, I'm sure you'll find it. Sam |

Sam As I stated, I seem to be search challenged. I get 582 threads that all have something to do with lights etc. Thanks for the clarification on the LED count. I thought it might be something like that. |

Skully, what tail section are you using? It looks great. |

I think it has nearly the same amount of LED's. The only difference is it hasn't got the downward pointing ones for the license plate. The board is full of LED's so I don't see how you could get more LED's on there. Norrie. |

Norrie, thanks for the assistance. I just ordered one about 5 minutes ago (don't tell the wife). Not sure what I am going to do about the license plate light though. |

I've been told my multiple sources, including a sponsor, that there is a different between the intensity of the clearalternatives and the American Sport Bike (heavy cycles) lights... and to be honest - they probably know better than most. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/77200.html Comparison Either way... get what you want, it's your bike. |

do you want some honey mustard sauce to go with those strips? Statik - I have to admit that was pretty funny. You won't see any chicken strips here. Fourth, first, and second place finishes in the CMRA Novice class races at Oak Hill Raceway. I put street tires back on it and ride it to work on Monday.

The tires are Pirelli Supercorsa Pros. I can't say enough good about them and am no where near pushing them to their limits. |

Norrie, Does the turn signal just flash or does it sequence to the outside? Skully, Bad-ass bellypan! Where did you pick that up from? Ken |

I have the American Sport Bike integrated tail stop/turn signal light. It is very bright, as bright as advertised. It's expensive but worth every penny. |

Hey Blasterd, The belly pan is available from Buell Racing through Buell dealerships. I purchased my from Dave Stueve (Daves) of Appleton Buell, one of BadWeB's sponsors. If you buy one, I'll be glad to send you photos of my mounting scheme. The first mounting system did not work and the bike nearly destroyed the pan. Keith |

I can speak from experience with both integrated tail lights, the one from Clear Alternatives and the one from American Sport Bikes. I was there with Al working on my bike and after he showed me the difference I picked it up right there. The intensity difference between the two is beyond comparison. The unit from Clear Alternatives is bright, but ONLY if you are looking at each LED straight on- which requires you to kneel down behind the bike. From the viewpoint of anything higher than that (let alone an SUV) you can not see if they are lit. The turn signals are not highly visible during the day and if it's sunny like here in San Diego forget about it, no one knows they are on. Al's unit is so much brighter I wish I wouldn't have wasted the money on Clear alternatives. Al's is so bright I was seeing spots after staring at it, the turn signals are extremely bright during the day, and all of this around 1pm in the bright sun in his parking lot. Bottom line is yes it's more expensive but there is no comparison. The clear alternatives model is crap, there is no comparing it. If anyone still wants one I have one in excellent condition for sale. If you value your safety, hold off on buying one until you can afford Al's. Hopefully Al will have pics up that we took comparing the two. |
