Rhun it's easy to see why, the mantra for decades with H-D people has been "If it aint a Harley it aint S%@T!" It has been repeated so long and so loudly that some people actually believe it to be true. Many advertisers study harley to see if they can cultivate brand loyalty and recognition the way H-D has. |

I go up to Hell's about twice a month, usually during the week to avoid the idiot squids and weekend cruisers. Well, a couple weeks back I went on a Sunday and there wasn't one sport bike in the parking lot, all Big Twins, and you should have seen the looks on thier faces when I pulled up. I wonder if anyone there knew what a BUell was and that I bought my bike from the same place they bought thiers. At least a couple of them figured out it was a 45-degree V-twin. I started on a Sportster, so I don't hate H-Ds, just some of the crowd who don't know anything about bikes. To me, Buells are for H-D/V-Twin guys that like to corner! --Sean |

Buells are what Harleys would have become, technologically, had they not been hit in the soft spot and become a drooling vegetable at a young age. |

I was never a fan of Bartel's. Went there a year ago to BUY A BUELL: "Well, we don't really sell those here. I have an 04 if you want it..." as he lazily point to a firebolt rolled way back into a corner and practically out of sight (I could only see the rear tire). "If you really want one I can get you one. I'm just being honest w/u" Jeez... ...Couple of months later I rode out of California Harley w/my brand new 06 XB12 (Message edited by g234146 on October 05, 2006) |

Thespieve You were at Glendale yesterday (10-3)? So was I at about 2:30 in the afternoon. We should wear badweb badges when we're out and about I suppose. I was there regarding the Uly. Tried to get info if the "lowseat" was available. Waited 30 minutes before the parts guy that knows came back from a smoke break. Yep.. Buell customers rank #1. Asbjorn |

"dealers just need to hirer people that are in to buell not forced to sell them" IMO Best opinion I've seen posted. If salespeople are actually interested in their product then their customers are more likely to purchase and the more people purchase the more dealers are inclined to take notice and increase quality of service, parts stock, ect. We the Buell buying public would win and these dealer posts would become few and far between.(It would be good for the environment too as we would not waste untold gallons of service seeking out parts/service !)} |

If you saw the Blue CityX in the parking lot, you were there when I was. Glendale is supposed to be the best in So Cal, butno one has ever approached me when looking at the bike and parts always has a line. I guess thats why I drive my ass to Biggs all the time. --Sean |

"They removed all the Buell signs from outside the dealership and carry no Buell merchandise either." HaHa thats what they told ya. Boy did someone lie to you. A few months ago, I test rode a Blast from them for fun. Ironically in light of your situation they test ride Buells on the weekends as they set up a demo tent in the parking lot. Anyway back to subject matter, the guy who helped me Erick (oddly enough oh thats with a "k" for those keeping track)told me that Ron Bartels didnt want any Buell signs or banners on his dealership because the colors didnt match with the traditional Harley orange. To him its a matter of fasion and not representation of the product being sold. Second, I was also informed that Bartels did not want to put up the 2,500 for the standard oval shaped Buell sign thats usually displayed near the HD logo. Yes Bartels does race a Buell, and yes they do have a couple in stock, they are in the USED SHOWROOM and are used themselves. I am a big beleiver that they are the demo bikes that everyone abuses on the weekends. On a side note, my Bolt has been there for almost three weeks becuase they didnt have the part I needed. Special orders are a pain in the arse but the mechanics are cool and I know it will get done sometime in my lifetime... Contrasting to what I said, about a year and a half ago, I took my bike there for the 1K service and their Buell tech at the time must have stripped a screw threading in my outer tranny cover (hence the warranty work), the only way I came about this conclusion is that a heli coil was used to remedy the situation and I never new what the hell that was until someone told e a few weeks ago. |

On my yearly trip to Sacramento, I stopped at Folsom HD/Buell. When I stopped in last year, they had 6 or 7 Buells on the floor and 1 style of sweatshirt (no tshirts). When I stopped there today, they had 14 Buells on the showroom floor, right in front of the parts counter, another outside, in front of the door and another Uly (parked where the bikes are parked after service?) Also on the parts wall, they had the shifter paint set for the 'Bolt and the Voltage paint set for the Lightning, along with saddlebags and grips, pegs etc. So I asked the sales guy, "where's your Buell apparel?" he calls over to the apparel gal and she says, "I think there is a sweatshirt in the rack somewhere" She proceeds to look, for about 15 seconds, and states "huh, must have sold it, good." I asked why, she said Buell apparel doesn't sell that well. My response was, "If you don't have it, you can't sell it!" She promptly turned around and walked away from me. Guess the truth hurts. Kinda odd, in all my travels,I've never seen so many Buells, prominently displayed, in any dealership, but no shirts/hats etc to go with them. Guess that's why I love the BadWeB sponsors! |

Paradise Harley Davidson/Buell near Portland Oregon usually has a nice selection of Buells. They are also very committed to the brand and have gone out of their way to help me on several occasions. A few of the sales people even ride Buells instead of Harleys. If you need a Buell friendly dealership with a good service department, I recommend them. |
