I am afraid I can not be very useful, as I have never done it, but the Buell has code system, that diagnoses problems, and then blinks out a code. This is covered in the Shop Manual un " Check Engine Lamp Diagnostics". If you do not have a shop manual, the first thing you need to do is get one. Very useful if you insist on messing around with your bike. Just call Daves, or one of our other sponsors, and order one. Cost about $50 and worth every penny. While you are at it, you might as well order the parts book. Very useful for ordering parts, and even more useful are the exploded views of all assemblies, especially when trying to put things back together.
