04 xb12r w/ factory race kit

With the cooler tempertures in NY these last weeks, my xb has got more ass in her than in the hotter summer months. Am I just dreaming or are other people experiencing the same thing?

Once the bike is warm she pulls harder at low rpm's, jerks the front end into the air faster, and pushes farther through the top of the powerband than she did a few weeks ago.

My tires however, have not seemed to enjoy the cooler weather nearly as much!

Happy ridin' all.

Bikes always run nicer in cooler temps. Thats just the law. But yeah, tires hate it.

cool air is denser air.
denser air is more air
more air = more power (assuming theres plenty of fuel to match it)

yes, spring and fall are much better times for riding/driving

Yup, they love it, until it gets down in to the teens and lower.

To actually get the bike('06 Cityx) to idle in anything under 20F, I have to hold the throttle open for at least 30 seconds.

I feel like my suspension has loosened up a bit in the cooler temperatures. Is that possible? I put another 1/4 turn rebound in the front and compression in the rear. That seemed to tighten it back up.

"I love fall."

I'm not superstitious, but I prefer to call it 'autumn', especially during the fall months...

You mean 'autumn' months.

No... by 'fall' months, I meant the months I'm most likely to fall.

Rate your riding season:

Here in North Carolina....
Spring & Fall = 1st Tie
Summer = 3rd
Winter = 4th

A friend wanted to try out my M2 against his V65 on late Holloween night. We made three runs on out favorite back road and I took him three out of three. I hate to tell him that the 55°F temps were in my favor. If it were a 95°F summer day, I doubt I would have got him.

I remember that because I rode my M2 back from work the other night in 60°F weather. First time since May it was that cool. I was just playing with the throttle all the way home. The bike felt like it had 10 more rwhp.
