I own a Buell Asphault Helmet.

Tonight on the way home from work on the interstate. I turned my head around to look quickly behind me. And my face shield flew off. I get home and notice both brackets/Wratchet plates are cracked.


I know it made by KBC
But does anyone know what model it is so I can order new parts for it.

Email KBC and they will most likely send you a free replacement (their web site has the addy). The brackets on my VR2 were breaking the tabs off on the face shield, KBC sent me new mounts and a new face shield at no cost.

The Buell part numbers are:

Clear: 98157-02VR
Smoked: 98158-02VR
Mirror: 98159-02VR

The retail is $39.00, if you can't get it warranted by the company. We have the clear and the smoked in stock, according to the computer. :P

I just called them. Told them what happened and without hesitation they are sending out new wratchets and face shield.

Thats prety awesome cust serv if you ask me.
