I had some, but they were stolen and melted down for the unobtanium. Here's a shot of my 02 XB6X on them. (Message edited by kdan on September 19, 2006) |

Kdan, did the invisible stand somehow envelope your bike in their aura of invisibility to?! I bet that makes your bike hard to find on Saturday mornings!! If anyone has a pic of the NON invisible unobtanium plated stands that would be....helpfull Nate |

The general consensus seems to be that the Pit Bull stands offer the best combination of value and utility. The are available from Daves, Appleton HD, one of our sponsors, among others. Here is the standard rear, and the New front fork models. The new front fork allows one to remove the entire front fork, tighten the steering bearings, as well as facilitating wheel changes. Dave may suggest other models.

Haha.. the canister on the L side (which I just removed last week) is the "Carbon Cannister" for emissions. What the cannister did - It was filled with charcoal (carbon) and the fuel vent hose was routed to it, as well as the manifold line, which would sometimes take the "gases" inside the cannister in put them into the combustion. It was big and bulky.. but it is gone now. Sorry I didn't have a "cool name" for it... Nate - i got the stands that cheap at the local Polo shop... I don't know about in the states. They are adjustable..used them on R6 as well as Buell. Funny thing... in germany, all prices displayed include a 16% tax... well i don't have to pay that. So i get everything 16% off...haha.I paid under 100$ for front and rear, they came raw metal though... but i painted them. |
