anyone know what size/bore the XB's master cylinder is? 9/16? 11/16? |

Assuming you are talking about the diameter of the piston in the handlebar mounted front brake master cylinder on a Buell XB series, the diameter can be read on the front of the cylinder. On the one I took of my bike, it was 1/2". That equals about 12.7 millimeter. If you are thinking of replacing the stock master cylinder, I would not use one any larger than 14mm. If you use a larger diameter, the required force on the handle bars will be too large. Please note that most remote reservoir sport bike master cylinders are too large for the Buell brake calipers.
Here is a 14mm Nissin mounted on my XB12 Src with Tomaselli adjustable clubman's bars. |

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing. I wonder if there is a smaller one that I could use. Ideas anyone? |

I think that a 94 or so zx-7 a friend had was equipped with a smaller reservoir of that type for the hydraulic clutch. |
