I've been searching for a long time now and I can't find the thread that discussed securing your helmet to your XB. Someone posted pics on how they secured their helmet to their XB and I'm looking into the easiest way to do so. Thanks in advance for your assistance in answering me or pointing me towards the right thread. |

Do a search for "helmet lock" of the last 365 days and you should find some stuff, including: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/186774.html and http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/150053.html The search is not that bad, really. |

your bike should have came with a helmet lock cable in the tool kit. the cable should have a loop on each end. put the loop through the D ring on the helmet, and then run the other end through the loop. it should be secure to the helmet. now put that loop around your seat mounting Boss (when your seat is removed their is a Boss on either side of the frame that the seat hooks lock around) then just reinstall your seat and its locked to the bike. Not ment for riding like that, but good for when leaving the bike and helmet in a parking lot. I Have not done it yet on my bike but that should be how it works. |
