Which disc brake locks work with our bikes? Bonus if it is small and light enough to fit under the seat of an S or in a jacket pocket. Thanks.

Don't know if they're available Stateside.......

Xena do a range of alarmed disc locks. I recall MCN hiring the services of an ex bike thief to try crack various disc locks for a test. The ex thief cracked all the top locks, and more, in a matter of seconds. The budget Xena they had on test, which was something like £25 at the time, gave the ex thief a hard time and it beat all the other locks on test by about 2 minutes if memory serves.

I've searched the MCN website for you but the test isn't on line sadly. I did see elsewhere though that other Xena disc locks have lots of 4 star ratings. Hope this helps.

I bought a Xena. I'm not sure if there is room for it under the seat. While small, it's not that small and it weighs a few pounds, too.

I use brake locks on my bike one in the front and one in the rear. I got them at www.lockitt.com I bought the ABUS Buffo 305s for my xb12r. They both fit in the tail section for easy transportation.

I would guess any of them will work on the back brake. I have an On-Gaurd one and it does fit under the seat. I remember seeing one of the bigger U style locks on the front disc of an XB. You could probably fit those under the seat but not much else.

What is the correct size for those of you who have the Xena locks?

I have this one. Works well with my Road King, Bourget and the ULY.

XENA website has a lookup that will tell you which models fit our bikes.

The XENA alarm, while not *that* loud, will save you from riding off with it in place ;)
I like the alarm for the "don't sit on me" factor...

I got one. I view it as a deterent, not a cure all. But am happy and would reccommend.
