It was actually pretty good last night. They discussed the trials and tribulations of two privateer racing efforts. Maybe there is hope for this series after all. (Message edited by jerseyguy on September 06, 2006) |

Yea I saw it, I cant beleive that guy would ride his bike again after only a week to heal. That to me was a little dumb cause if he went down again he could ruin his motorcycle dreams for ever. but I guess thats racing. |

But now he can coast for the remainder of the season, with the points he has. Big gamble, but some folks seem like Vegas too. +1 on this show coming around (maybe) |

My cable provider doesn't give me the Speed Channel. I see I'm missing a lot of great programming. Adelphia Cable; cooking channel, 2 religious channels and too many merchandise selling channels, but no Speed Channel. They SUCK |

I agree that the episodes was one of the better ones. I just can't get over the fact that speed hired two of the worst host in the world. I mean the one guy is a great stunter, but he has zero talent as a televison host. It is almost painful to watch him try to interview some one. And the other guy has almost zero knowledge about bikes! I like the idea of the show, but it could be so much more with very little work. What is truly sad is that superbikes is the only show out there dedicated to sport bikes. It is kind of a dilemna watch a show that has some huge flaws, or not support it in hopes that another show will come along. With as many diverse buellers that we have on the badweb, I bet we could make a pretty damn mean TV show!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hard Corps |

My wife pointed out to me the other day that Rossi Moreale also does a fashion show of some sort on one of her channels. I bet he doesn't want too many people to know that. (Message edited by schmitty on September 07, 2006) |

I pit for Scott Jensen - he has to epitomize the real Privateer spirit. You can't believe how much exposure he got at Daytona, trying to qualify for FX with a 2 day old broken shoulder. We taped him up in the pits to see how he could take hard braking - and he rode the bike around the pits before putting on the leathers. Putting on the leathers was a painful experience in itself! He would run about 4 laps, come into the hot pit, we'd hold his arm up, he'd catch his breath, suck it up and then go back out and try qualifying again. As it was, he needed about 1.3 sec to make the field. The surgeon was authorized to shoot him up with lidocaine and steroids but the lidocaine would have worn off about 2/3 through the race so he decided to try to qualify without any painkillers. Talk about exhausted at the end of it all! After all that, he re-broke the shoulder about 5 weeks later in a Club race in Phoenix. Doc told him to stay OFF the tracks for 6 weeks - so he missed the first 5 races this season - and is still in 17th overall. Awesome dude. We're doing the Toyota 200 in 2 weekends at Willow Springs if anybody wants to come out and watch some BIG money racing. |
