Today my XB12R was delivered to my house before torrential rain started, thank goodness! Its now parked inside a 5' by 10' storage garage. Guys, every bike should have a warning sign stating that starting a Buell for the 1st time may lead to a dangerous increase in blood pressured as well as heart rate!!! Because of the rain I couldn't take it outside, so I sat on it, adjusted the mirrors, front break lever, and then hit the start button. Damn!!!!, I think my heart skipped 2 heart beats, sputtered, and then raced up to 160 beats per minute! What music to my hears!!!! LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!!!! I can't wait to go for a ride - I'm hoping that tomorrow will be the day! Once again I want to thank Anthony and Ryan from Liberty Buell for all the information they provided, as well as for a great buying experience. I'll post some pictures of my "baby" as soon as I can. I remember this like it was yesterday, I felt the same way. Look at the grin, if you can see it under the beard. Congratulations, you've got no idea how much fun is in store for you! BTW, I started mine in the middle of the showroom and rode it out the door! (Message edited by pwnzor on August 29, 2006) |

Court, that's funny! Pwnzor, that's you? Finally I can put a face to all those fancy pics! I also want a pic like yours! Maybe when I go to Liberty to pick up my plates they will take the picture that they promised me. Today I went for my first ride with the "baby"... Just too damn amazing!!!!! Loved the whole experience! I was pretty nervous when I started it, but after a few minutes of trying the clutch, brakes, etc, I was ready to take her on the road. First I did a couple of circle 8's to see how it handled, then I went on the road. Kept her below 3000rpm for the first 50 miles, then for the next 60 just under 4K rpm's. What a difference it is from my previous high revving bikes. Took me a couple minutes to get used to the engine, but after that I was fine. The funny thing is that I stopped at a local Kawasaki dealer to see if the gloves I had ordered had arrived, and when I got out I had about 5 salesman outside gawking at the bike. I was the "man"!!! Main question was "who made it, did I like it (duh!), how was the torque", etc. I think I converted them to our side! }All I can say is: "Eric, thanks for such a wonderfully engineered machine"!!! |

Yep that's me sitting on serial number three! She's still in pieces behind me at the moment, going back together slowly and carefully. Probably won't ride until tomorrow now, since I can't seem to get away from the computer. |

Mutant, next time, next time... I'm still getting used to all the torque the bike has. Its fun watching people gawk at the bike - I just need a dark helmet shield so they can't see my stupid grin! I can't seem to get rid of it - hopefully it won't be permanent!
