Finally got my bike! 2006 xb12s. Picked it up today and rode about 30 miles home. It was a very rough ride, but after getting home and adjusting suspension to my weight, it was great! Very smooth and easy to ride in the turns. Lovin it! Still getting used to the throttle in 1st gear. It is VERY jerky with that much torque. Guess I just gotta' learn finesse with the throttle hand. Quick question, the front fork reflectors had been removed. I assume they attach with double sided tape since I don't see any mount points anywhere. Is that correct? Anyway, thank you all very much for all the great info and input on this site. I'm loving my purchase so far. Best news is that I don't have to work for the next 5 days! So plenty of riding time, and taking the Rider's Edge course starting tomorrow night. Pic of my boy, Jared, trying out the bike in my profile. Thanks Eric (escham)! |

Congrats on the new bike. Enjoy! Still getting used to the throttle in 1st gear. It is VERY jerky with that much torque. Guess I just gotta' learn finesse with the throttle hand. It helps to slip the clutch a bit when riding in 1st gear. |
