When I bought my Sportster, it came with an alarm module that cut the ignition when it was armed, why doesn't Buell offer something like this. What type of anti-theft devices do you guys use? --Sean |

I use a disc lock with a built in battery powered alarm. It's quite loud. |

I never leave it out of my eyesight unless it's indoors. |

Nobody wants to steal Buell's! But my bike is rarely out of sight. |

oh yeah? Mine just got swiped Aug 5, 06 in daylight, parked by a highway while I went trying to find a towtruck to pick it up. Had to park due to an accident that left it immobilized. |

I have a disc lock and a lever lock for when it's not in my garage or out of my line of sight. |

I use a disc lock with a built in battery powered alarm Me too. Mostly for the "don't sit on me" factor. |

1. NRA sticker 2. A sign or sticker that says "I don't dial 911". Makes them think twice before they rob you! |

Scorpio SI500. has proximity alarm, ignition interlock, remote off ( antihijack), and 2 way paging remotes. expensive, but pretty darn good. use the '1st gen' harley wiring kit, and it just plugs in. ( *** I think it was the 1st gen kit - double check with the manufacturer if you go this route) (Message edited by ulendo on August 22, 2006) |

I am thinking of getting the Si-300, with all of the accessories. I'm to cheap to pay almost 500 for an alarm. Especially when the only REAL difference is the 2-way fm capability of the remote. |
