I think my front wheel was knocked out of alignment as a result of contact with a curb (no, I wasn't driving). Is this possible, and if so what's it gonna cost to fix? Schmitty |

If it's just the forks, and nothing's bent... ...just loosen all the fork clamp bolts. Stand in front of the bike and, with your knees holding the front wheel, twist them back into alignment. Then tighten the bolts back down to the proper torques settings. On my Firebolt, you can tell when it's aligned by when you have equal bar/tank clearance both directions. Otherwise you can get creative with a board or string to align the bars with a straight-tracking front wheel. |
