I just got a set of LSL footpegs from Al at American Sportbike for my S model. Very well made pieces, the kind of machining and design quality that warms the heart of a moto geek. They are very reasonably priced for the R models, but higher for the S due to the additional machine work for the 1" drop and left and right differences. I hate spending money on something that does not improve my bike. I bought them because I am unwilling to ride on the stock pegs after hearing about various failures. I mean, besides wheelies and track days, you still have to stand up fairly often to pull the underwear out of your butt and stretch a bit. If you need new pegs, the LSLs are first rate and look great too. |

I hate spending money on something that does not improve my bike. Confidence in your bike is a major improvement! |

Glitch, you are right. No choice but to do it, can't ride without confidence. I should have said I hate spending money to compensate for a problem or weakness that my bike came with from the factory, rather than spending it on an enhancement of the original design or on something to personalize it for my riding style. For example, the stock handlebars are fine for riding around town, but the Crossroads zero degree make it a completely different bike in the turns. Best $250 I've ever spent on a bike, period. |

No doubt, and I have to agree with you on the Cross Roads. I wanted them real bad but thought they were too much, so I put them off, and bought them used, if I had known what a big difference they were going to make I would have gladly paid full price. Did you get the S pegs, or the R pegs? |

I got the S pegs. I got Traction Pegs by accident first, and then found out that they are for the R only. It was very painful, and nearly impossible to move around on the bike. Al and I went through the math and the seat to peg distance is way too short on an S model with R pegs. The R seat is higher, and we also surmized that it compresses less than the S seat. I only drag my S pegs on hard turns with big bumps that fully compress the suspension. It does not happen often. |

I have the LSL R pegs on my S.....I could never get the brake adjusted to cover it comfortably during wheelies...They are also a great looking peg..I have them for rider and passenger... |

How tall are you? I'm 6 foot even, and they were brutal for me. |

Just under 6 foot...and I've rode some high mileage days with no problem....They are probably just a tad bit less comfortable than the stock S pegs, but to be able to cover my rear brake while doing a wheelie more than makes up for the difference.. |

How are those pegs as far as grip compared to the stock S pegs... |
