and for once i wasnt even speeding or screwing around and i still about dont make it back from a ride. im running about 55-60 on a 2 lane going to the next town. keep meeting a bunch of cars, no biggy. well im cruising along and keep looking at these vehicals meeting me. its almost sunset and there are alot of headlights, but it sure looks funny. i'm thinking to myself, huh that looks like its in my lane. it is a ways away yet though so i just kind of blow it off and keep watching as i ride. then i'm like damn that cars still in my lane, and by now i can tell even from my spot that the car is way ahead of the one it was going around, but doesnt seem to be in a hurry to get back in there own lane. just kept thinking they are going to move... they are going to move... ya not happeneing. they never even made an attempt to move over or even hit the brakes. i hammered on the brakes and pitched the bike to the right as hard as i could. the problem with that is that even though the side of the road has a paved bike path on it they were already somewhat on that as well as being in my lane. anyway pitched it back to the left as i came off the bike path and onto the foot of grass beside it before it dropped down a few feet into the ditch. well the frontend hooked onto the pavment good but the rear was sliding from the initial hard brake and turn. it proceeded to swing out onto the grass and slide for a bit before i got it swung back around. straightened it out and coasted down the road for a sec just going what the hell just happened. i went from what the hell, to that i'll kill that *%^$. i slammed back on the brakes. let one car fly by and pitched her back around inbetween that and the next car and started jamming gears. the guy in the truck that had been getting passed by the idiot said he saw me coming and pulled over to give me room to go by. passed him flat out in 5th. pulled up beside that van ready to knock the windows out. i've already had to test my icon timax gloves and they will to a hell of a number on a quarter panel if you force me to so that window should have been know problem. anyway im beside this van and the thing is weaving around alot so i back off a bit. i dont know if he was drunk or what but it wouldnt surprise me from the driving. i grabbed the plate number and called the cops in town so they could grab him when he rolled in. it takes alot for me to call the cops but i think that crossed the line literally. while i'm pulled over and on the phone the person that had been getting passed stopped to see if i was ok and such and tell me if i needed a witness he'd do it. he just kept telling me how he was sure i was dead when i went passed him sideways mostly in the ditch, but that he knew where i was going when he saw something moving fast in his mirrors, lol. it's a good thing i have more lives than one of those damn cats or i'd have been dead years ago. what doesn't kill me... STILL PISSES ME OFF!!! | ||

I love how the police department has an ANSWERING MACHINE!!! that states, "I may be away from the desk at the moment, if this is an emergency, please press 1" Press one, and, "Please leave your message about your emergency after the tone." Amazing how incompetent some police departments are. Glad you're not hurt. | ||

another day in the life. its kind of a normal ocurrance to play tag with the cars around here, but usually slower and in town. not at highway speeds and not THAT blatantly. i side swiped a curb and actually hit the mirror of a car with my elbow a while ago avoiding them cutting a corner short in town. my friend watched me hit the curb sideways and then lost me behind the car. he was surprised when i came out the other side but i was standing completely on the right side of my bike balanced on my right peg. i pulled up beside him and was laughing like an idiot, lol. the boyfriend of the girl that had been driving proceeded to get aout of the car and start yelling back at me so i turned around and rode back and pulled up beside him. i knew the most i would have done was break the mirror with my arm since i had kept the bike itself leaned over far enough to be able to watch the bar end go down the whole side of the car while keeping it about 2 inches from actually hitting. i was actually going around them on there passenger side since i was trying to avoid the car and my friend that had gone to the right. anyway hes yelling about how i wrecked there car and should watchout for the cars on the road and i proceeded to grab him by the throat and slam him against the car while remaining seated on my bike. he proceeded to shut up, lol. the girl said that the dents in the door had been there and i didnt even break the mirror so all was well as far as the two of us were concerened. another day living n college town |
