Are they a similar color to the orange "Buell" lettering on an '03 white 9? I'm considering new black bodywork and the orange wheels, along with the '03 airbox lettering. Thanks! Sherm |

No, I believe they are darker (Sunset Orange) I do think it would be a good contrast, however. I am wanting to get Thrust Blue for my bike to go with my stock Sunset Orange wheels. |

Are they a similar color to the orange "Buell" lettering on an '03 white 9? I'm right there with you wanting a nugget of info this too. There are a total of 3 dealers in the US with these wheels in stock. One is Bloomington Indiana. Sorry, don't recall the other two. I asked about them at the factory [homecomming] and was told also that they are darker than the 03 lettering - but I still want to see and decide for myself... Was thumbing thru rags at a newsstand last night and saw a pic of a Firebolt with what looked to be the Sunset rims and they looked mighty close... |

I agree with Angel. People call mine red all the time. TK |

Sherm, they are definatly darker. I had the same idea for my 03 9R. Bloomington is my dealer so I had a close look at the ones they have for sale on the floor. Definatly not a match. |

I would tell you that I have them in stock, but i'm not a vendor(despite numerous efforts to contact Blake to become a vendor). Therefore I'm not allowed to tell you that, so I wont. Seth |

definitely darker than the logo. I saw them side by side with my bike at homecoming. You'd be better off having a paint shop mix a color to match the logos and painting your wheels. powder coating is far harder to match the color. I'd leave the lips of the rim unpainted |
