Hello All, I just wrapped my header last night and I'm hoping that some of you guys that have already done this can answer a few questions. I double wrapped. Is that better? The reason I'm asking is because I'm not happy with the way mine came out and my start over. Certain areas came out good, others did not. The 2 problem areas are by the front exhaust port and the lower part of the collector. The only problem is that the edges of the wrap are a little loose in areas. The wrap seems tight but the edges are just a little loose. How durabe is this wrap? Should I run with it or start over? One more question. Obviously, I can't spray the silicone on the entire wrap due to the header being on the bike. Is that a major problem? If I do it over again, it should be much easier. I have definitely learned from it. It was a lot of fun working with that stuff with heavy gloves on at 90 degrees and humid! Thanks guys, Gregg |

Gregg, did you soak the wrap in water before you installed it? |

Gregg - can you post a picture of what you are talking about? I double wrapped mine. The bottom of the collector was a little tricky with it tapering in size, but I played with the angle a little and got it nice and tight. As I wrapped it going back up, it was not a problem. Adrian |

Ceramic coating looks pimp to me. Most places for less than $100 and keeps headers 175 degrees cooler from the test's I've seen. Plus no need to go thru "wrapping hell". :-) |
