I own an 03 XB9R. I have the race kit. I think that I've lost some bottom end power as a result of installing it and other than that the bike is virtually the same except louder with backfiring. what is the difference in the performance between the two? Do they make one for the 9? Will it work with the race ecm? |

i have a Drummer on my 9s with the racekit. it works fine ,but does pop on decel. I havent had the racekit exhaust ,so cant compare, but others have stated the drummer does give better low end. Check the exhaust shootout in the knowledge Vault for dynos, sound clips etc. |

DRUMMER! there is no verses... pulls hard all the way through the gears. my 9 pulled 92.8 horse and 72.4 torque. it will pull 5th gear from 1500 up to redline with 2 people on it with no problems. |

Check the dyno charts on American Sport Bike. Click the link on "The long awaited XB exhaust shoot out" link. It's a large file, but it should answer any questions you may have about how they compare. winpep7 will let you compare the dyno runs by directly laying them over each other. |
