Phish Torture Henry Rollins Band All Detente System of a Down Flogging Molly Outback Joe Satriani Mark Wood John Zorn TSOL SRV Bessie Smith My coworkers and the consulting engineers that I had lunch with today were giving me sheer hell for my music collection. The PE that I share office space with had a very adverse reaction to the Koto orchestra music when it came up in the mix. |

Rubdoggy, are you going directly into the USB port or are you going through a hub? I have to plug my Cube directly into the USB port and it appears as a removable drive. If I try and go through my hub on the desk, Windows will claim to see the hardware, but never seems to load a driver. |

Buellisti, I go directly to the port in front of the machine. What is strange is that I will see the player for a moment but it will disappear. And when it was visible as a removable drive i could not right click it with out things freezing up until unplugged the mp3 player. arrrrgh! thanks for the input! |

Rubdoggy, Let me give it some thought tomorrow and I'll PM with some more suggestions. I have a Verbatim flash drive that behaves that way, and I need to remember what the fix was. |

Pillar, Falling Up, Skillet, Tool, Sevendust, Beck... Anyone recommend a better style of headphones for in your helmet that don't fall out and possibly sound more clear (ie- hear music and nothing else in the backround). I used the little kind that go in your ear and they usually start slipping out and dont sound too good... |

IEMs (in-ear monitors) is the way to go. Anything by Shure, Super.Fi or Ultimate Ears will do you justice for sure! I tried the new E500's, very impressive bass though expensive. Probably fitted the IEMs will not slip. |

Angelwild327, the drums are cool, but Koto is the japanese version of the lapsteel guitar. It has three strings and is plucked with a pick about the size of a CD. |

Buellisti, Yes..duh-me...I've seen the Koto played before with the Taiko troup...beautiful instrument and sound...here's our local gang... http://www.fushudaiko.com/performers.html You might also like, if you haven't already heard of it, the african string called Kora, I had the pleasure of taking care of a musician named Keba Cissoko from Guinea Bissau, he was a world famous Kora player, sadly he passed away a few years ago...but it's neat music, very interesting history to it...but mainly it is a tradition passed down to tribespeople in a small village in Africa, many of the players you'll find share the same last name.. Cissoko.. anyhow.. Man, this shoulda been in the quick board section, eh?? lol.. (Message edited by angelwild327 on July 27, 2006) |
