I just took my airbox cover off to have a look and I noticed the the crankcase vent tube on the left burped a little oil onto the air filter and the intake funnel. Bike has a little over 100 miles on it. I am following the break in procedure although it is difficult. WTF! |

Just seems like getting oil into the intake would be a bad thing. |

You could buy a catch can and totaly eliminate it. It would keep those vapors/sludge from polluting you intake. |

One more thing is sometimes when I blip the throttle from idle the engine seems to hiccup or miss. It has done this with the engine just warmed up and with the engine fully warmed up during a ride. |

Sportsters did the same thing, at least my 2000 did. There are a number of "drainage kits" sold for the sportys, not sure about the buells. |

Perfectly normal especially since your rings aren't fully seated yet. Even after that you can have some nasty stuff end up in your airbox and intake if you don't install a catchcan for your crank case vents. You can find a nice cnc machined model at kdfab.com, or at American Sport Bike.
The other way is to make your own out of tubing, and a small K&N type filter. If you do a search i'm sure you can find instructions to build one of these.

It is a polution thing recirculating the natural internal combustion engine oil blow-by back into the engine, instead of of beltching it into the enviernment. |
