that reminds me of a time when i was a kid and i was selling my 80 and this potential buyer(other kid) was talking about my 80 being to small for him and that he wanted a 125. i said do you know how to ride he said yeh i said ok go for it. he tried a couple times and stalled it, i got on and showed him how to give it gas and drop the clutch  he got back on and grabed a handful of throttle and dropped the clutch he managed to run behind it for a couple seconds before he crashed then he told me it was to fast, i said and you thought about getting a 125 i love squids, they make me laugh | ||

Heard a good explanation of why the term squid is used. Ever see a squid swim? It goes very fast in a straight line. Slows to turn then very fast in another straight line, and so on. | ||

My grandfather told me what a squid is. I can't say it in front of polite company. At least not the way he put it, and changing it at all would diminish it. I consider him to have been a great man, and would never alter his words. So a squid is a squid, and I'll leave it at that. Those guys both fit the term, albeit loosely. Sam, I never hear squid without thinking of Navy. Some words just make you swell up with pride. Words like , "squid", "spook", and "Chief". Especially when they come from the mouthes of "jarheads", "grunts", "wingnuts", and "coasties". Are you a brownshoe? I'm a guy that served in the time of the shoes that coined the phrase. Regarding the first video. Where I come from, they call guys like that "Guidos". There was actually a funny bit on NYC radio station 92.3 Free FM today concerning "Guido Awareness" and trying to put an end to the widespread multiplication of guys like that by making them aware what fools they look like.. That guy fit the bill. | ||
