I have asked this question a couple of times in the knowledge vault section with no response. I have Nitrous on my XB9R and am looking to find out if i can retard the timing 3 or 4 degrees so that i can run more nitrous. any help would be appreciated. |

This is kind of tricky. Ideally you'd like to trigger the ignition retard at the same time as the nitrous. Of course you can retard the timing, however your bikes' performance will suffer when you are not on the gas. I used to run a dynatek ignition box on one of my old gsxr projects and it was great, it was designed to do exactly that job and I never had an issue with it. I still hold dynatek ignitions in high regard. The other way would be to retard the timing back by stopping and adjusting it before doing a NOS run. How big of a shot are you running, and what kind of system? wet or dry? firemanjim, No_Rice, me, and others have run NOS on bikes and other assorted vehicles. |

My system is kind of peiced together. I pretty much used no rice as a starting point. came out roughly the same wet system with only one bottle. Have no idea how big of a shot i am running. probably like 20 but basically as much as i can run without detonation. use it mostly for drag racing rice rockets so the perfomance off the gas is not to big of a problem for me. |
