I am looking at an XB9 Lightning as a possible sport touring platform. I have not seen a larger windscreen in any of the places I have looked. Does one exist, if so, please provide a link.

There really aren't too many options for the Lightning. Al at American Sport Bike has an Extended Flyscreen available:

http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F7920627&rnd=6915 045&rrc=N&affl=&cip=66.227.130.181&act=&aff=&pg=prod&ref=9042&cat=new&catstr=HOM E:new

That might be an option.

I too have a Laminar Lip and love it.

There is also this one, though it looks kind of ugly to me:

Zero gravity recently introduced an extended screen for the lightnings.
http://zgoutlet.com/
note that they now list st screens for the lightnings, not just the sr (stock replacements)

The link above is for the cheaper factory blemished screens. Any of our sponsors can
(and will) happily supply a new screen for you if that's your gig!

I just got the ST model screen for my XB9SX from Zero Gravity and it looks great and seems to work well so far.

Jhanz do you have any pics?? I think I may have to pick one of these up in dark smoke. It will definately help on those 3 hour rides down I-89 to MA.

Thanks for the pics Al, that looks like the best option.

I noticed in some of those images, the bike has the larger air scoop on the right side. Is that sold as well, or was it something you {had?} made custom?

Tonight I finally ripped off my laminar lip. I never did find a position that was quiet. I when for a ride tonight without it, and there was a bit more pressure on my chest, but the wind noise was much less.

I have read that most people with an XBs have had good experience with the lip. Do you think somehow on the xb9xs the hand guards interfere with the lip?

I am about to sell this thing really cheap...
