Just so this does not go into one of those long "everyone put in their.02" threads that gets off topic, I will tell you I have read the shootout results. I would like to know form Jardine owners of the xb12 if there was a smile on your face from noticeable changes in the power it does offer. I have my heart set on the drummer but just dont want to wait on their month or more lead time. I can get a Jardine in about four days and at about $425. I allready know it sounds pretty sweet! I appreciate any feedback. |

Holt sh!t! What Jardine are you buying for $425 bucks? Mine was $250 shipped. Don't get the carbon fiber can, get either aluminum or titanium. The carbon might warp and crack. I love mine, the power difference was instantly noticeable, esp. in the upper RPM ranges. The bottom end is softer but more than makes up for it when the rpm's climb. Sound is fantastic, loud but not overbearing. It pops a lot on decel and hopefully the race ecm will clear some of that up, but even Al wrote that fully tuned it still afterfired more than the others. But with all this being said, I think I might be switching to the Drummer SS or the Micron Serpent in the future to try and make max hp and have no popping. I have just installed a Drummer catch can, American Sport Bike open airbox kit and the race ecm to further compliment the pipe but haven't ridden it yet. Getting my TPS reset on tuesday, I'm hoping for another noticeable power difference and less popping. For the money (aluminum version), I don't think the Jardine can be beat. Jardines sound GREAT. Everyone I've talked to says the power is GOOD. Just remember, it needs to be rebuilt every so often. |

Yea I was looking at the carbon one but thanks for the heads up on the warpage. As long as the jardine out performs stock Im happy. As far as the ecm goes I allready did that with the tps reset in anticipation for a muff install. |

I was unhappy with my factory race can because of the sound it makes. Then I read the American Sport Bike Exhaust Shootout. I'm keeping the race can. I still long for the throaty sound though. |

Has anyone repacked their Jardine with stainless wool instead of fiberglass? Kinda like the stuff that dynomax and magnaflow use in their mufflers. I am hoping when mine needs to be repacked, I'll throw some of that in there and never need to do it again. Just a thought. |

Woolf - that is what I am going to do when I have to repack mine. It shouldn't blow out and burn up like the fiberglass packing. |
